PRODUCT (3) THE WEEKEND TOURISM GETAWAY.
This product is our flagship. It is designed to afford tourists who cannot go on a long period of tour due to work or other matters and who a days tour trips are too short for them. Especially the corporate entertainment up market. As the name suggests, it is organized on weekends to give clients option to vary their weekend activities.
It is designed to give opportunity to clients (especially city dwellers) to get away from hustle and bustle of city life to the coolness of countryside life on weekends.
PRODUCT STRUCTURE
The tour takes off around 630pm on Fridays from Accra to the first city/ town which should be close the base. After taking tourist to their hotels, those who want to experience the nightclub/night life session of the visited city/town are guided there.
The next morning, Saturday, they have their breakfast and the trip continues to the tourist facilities in the city/town then it moves to the next stop where lunch will be served.
Here another tour is scheduled up to the evening and then they take their supper, rest for a while then another night club/night life is organized. On Sundays after breakfast, church can be organized if necessary, the trip moves a sport closer to the base. The last tour facilities are visited and we head home Around 3.00-4.00pm
For clarity sake, we give a typical weekend tourism getaway itinerary as ff; Trip Route-Accra-Tema—Akosombo-Aburi-Accra.
Reporting Time; 5.00-6.00pm, Arrival; 7.00-7.1 Opm. First city Tema-hotel facility, night club/nightlife experience at a top night club/pub at Tema i.e. club Faliza or Bacardi's. Next morning, possible places to visit-Tema Harbour, Meridian line centre of the world, Shai Hills -Akosombo-hotel, Hydro plant, Dodi Island, Adowa nightclub hotel. On Sunday, tour moves through the Akwapim range through Akropong to visit Basel Missionaries first schools in Ghana.
To Tetteh Quashies first cocoa farm-Mampong. At Aburi, we pay a visit to Rita Marley's residence for some Reggae vibe from the source, the Botanical Gardens and the Aburi Arts and Craft village- Tenko Plaza Hotel. Upon request, trips can also be arranged to European Monuments-Castles and Forts.
